Hi, my name is Em and I joined Unmade in June 2021 as a Senior Frontend Engineer!
I love working on a small team! The level of autonomy and room for learning is so vast. I also enjoy the fast-paced environment as the opportunity for tackling new problems constantly arises. I’ve never had a boring day at Unmade!
I’ve learned so much about the clothes manufacturing process since joining Unmade. It really opened my eyes to the waste generated by the legacy industry, plus all the background work required to get a garment from brand ideation and into a consumer’s wardrobe. It’s completely changed the way I see and appreciate clothing.
I’ve done a lot of work on creating an Adobe Illustrator extension to help speed up validating layplans (the 2D visual representation of a garment), which has been a super interesting and challenging process.
